Speaking at the G7 Summit in May, President Obama frantically said that several world leaders were “rattled” by Donald Trump. Although Obama viewed this as a reason not to like Trump, it’s actually a ringing endorsement of his candidacy. Put differently, Trump has exactly the right enemies: the globalists.
Obviously, Donald Trump is not an ideologue. He likes to make deals, and it’s difficult to make deals when you’re an ideologue. That said, in every negotiation there are non-negotiable items, and Trump definitely has one: America comes first. His support for enforcing our national borders and withdrawing from entangling interventions abroad has enraged the mainstream media, the establishments of both major parties and the global elite that controls them all. They rage against Trump because he is a nationalist. His border wall and non-interventionist foreign policy are a rejection of the open borders globalism and nation-destroying regime change promoted by the global elites.
Alright, so what is a globalist? Generally, globalists want to replace national sovereignty with global governance. Globalists promote illegal immigration and oppose national borders. They are in favor of the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the European Union (EU), free trade agreements such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and American military expansionism. That’s right, the US military or US-trained proxies are often used by the global elite to topple uncooperative governments or apply pressure to countries that don’t go along with the globalist agenda. In other cases, economic sanctions are used, like with Russia.
Unsurprisingly, globalists despise Russian intervention into Syria. This is very important, because the Antichrist will come from Russia and rise to power in Syria. Eventually, he will take down Babylon the Great, the central city of the global elites (Revelation 17), along with Israel and most of the Middle East (Daniel 11:31-44). Incidentally, the Antichrist will only politically control one-fourth of the world (Revelation 6:8).
Now, since many followers of Christ rightly oppose the globalist agenda, the global elite have had to manipulate Christians into supporting globalism. Usually, they use “moral values” candidates who will never do anything about social issues because the Supreme Court has ruled on them already. These candidates are also pro-Israel, which is like cat nip for most Evangelical Christians. While recognizing Israeli sovereignty by not pressuring them to divide their land is important, a pro-Israel foreign policy is often used as an excuse for the US military to play world’s policeman in the Middle East. This interventionist approach is exactly what the globalists want, but it’s not what God wants. The Lord wants Israel to rely on Him for their protection, not the United States or international peace agreements.
On a side note, Ted Cruz was clearly the globalist’s false choice to Christians in this election cycle. He said all the right things about Israel and social issues, and seemed very open with his faith. Still, setting aside the fact he was a serial liar, he was funded by Goldman Sachs. In fact, his wife used to work for the powerful bank. She was also a member of the “Building a North American Community” task force for the Council on Foreign Relations, an influential globalist think tank.
Regardless, why is it important for the globalists, whether they identify as liberal, conservative, Republican or Democrat, to stop Trump and elect Hillary? It’s simple, really: she’s a textbook globalist. She’s in favor of illegal immigration and more American military intervention abroad. Likewise, she has more corporate sponsors than a NASCAR driver. She’ll do exactly what her handlers tell her to do. On the other hand, Trump is a self-financed nationalist who doesn’t back down from anybody. He can’t be bought, and that’s why the global elites will stop at nothing to stop him.
