This post is part of an ongoing series called “The Intentional Destruction of the USA.” Find out more here.
Recently, the Obama administration made roughly 3.9 million illegal immigrants eligible for deportation protection. While a record number of American citizens renounced their citizenship last year, illegal immigration has continued to grow dramatically. The explosion of illegal immigration over the past few years isn’t a surprise. In 2012, the Obama Administration said that it wouldn’t deport most children that came to the United States illegally. Naturally, this extended waiting times for people who were trying to legally immigrate. In other words, coming to the United States illegally became more attractive. Why is this a problem?
Governments exist to protect God-given rights (Genesis 9:5-6), and the Bible says “whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God” (Romans 13:2). The only exception is when obeying the government gets in the way of our obedience to God (Acts 5:29). Well, why would anyone support law-abiding foreigners getting squeezed out unfairly by those who broke the law and trespassed? Why would anyone support an unprotected border that allows for the spread of disease? Just last year, illegal aliens were found to have scabies and tuberculosis. Why would anyone support criminals crossing our border and committing crimes in the United States? In 2013, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) released over 36,000 illegal immigrants convicted of crimes.
Besides, it’s not like citizens of the United States are doing well. Did you know that the number of women on food stamps in the United States is greater than the number of women that have jobs? Did you know over 49% of Americans receive assistance from one or more government programs? Did you know that as recently as 2011, 45% of children live in low-income families? So, why would the Obama administration encourage people to illegally enter the United States when jobs are scarce and the government is in horrible shape financially?
It’s possible that the Obama administration is seeking to force significant political change through an orchestrated crisis. This is known as the “Cloward-Piven Strategy.” Simply put, if the government is overloaded with financial demands it can’t meet, the system would be overwhelmed and need to be replaced by a different system.
Speculation aside, many Christians have no issue with illegal immigration. Of course, we should help people if they are in need (Mark 12:31), but since when are we supposed to ignore the plans of God? Let’s not forget that nations were His idea.
After the Flood, God commanded Noah and his family to spread out and fill the earth (Genesis 9:1). Noah’s descendants disobeyed (Genesis 11:4). As a result, God confused their language, creating unique people-groups (Genesis 11:7-8). Why did God do this? He explained “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them” (Genesis 11:5-6). When sinful human beings are of one mind, they can commit great evil. Just look at Nazi Germany. Imagine that on a global scale, and you’ll understand why God created barriers. It’s for our own good.
