The Daniel 11:22 War
For a while now, Saudi Arabia has been reforming. In April of this year alone, Saudi Arabia ended flogging as a form of punishment and abolished executions for crimes committed by minors. It’s not altruism; Saudi Arabia needs foreign investment to retain their standard of living. The Saudis can no longer rely on oil revenues. Obviously, lots of people aren’t going to invest in a country that rigidly enforces radical Islam. Perhaps that’s why Saudi Arabia is trying to encourage tourism, even planning a beach resort where women can wear bikinis. While this is a solid strategy, it’s destined for failure.
In a world without the Americans guaranteeing the safety of global shipping, supply chains will be vulnerable and prone to frequent disruption. Tourism probably won’t be a growth area. Likewise, investors tend to stay away from uncertainty and the Saudi’s neighborhood is filled with it. To make matters worse, Saudi Arabia imports most of its food. In late April, “Saudi Arabia’s state grain buyer SAGO said on Monday it bought 60,000 tonnes of Ukraine wheat from investment firm SALIC, marking its first purchase from agricultural investments overseas aimed at enhancing the country’s food security.” That’s great for now, but what happens when the food can’t be safely transported?
Unsurprisingly, Russia and Saudi Arabia have “signed a memorandum on expansion of mutual food exports.” Russia is becoming more heavily involved in the Middle East’s food supply chains. The Antichrist, the leader of Russia during the end times, uses food as a weapon in the Middle East. That makes Saudi Arabia’s decision to pump a lot more oil an awkward one. After all, the move is economic warfare against Russia. The Russians have leverage over the Saudi’s food supply chains and the Saudis can catastrophically damage Russia’s energy-based economy. The groundwork is being laid for the Daniel 11:22 War.
Sheep/Goat nations
Known for its agricultural exports, like soybeans, sugar and coffee, Brazil is expecting “the coronavirus outbreak to spark a rise in global agricultural protectionism as countries seek to secure local food supplies.” This seems inevitable at this point. Like we’ve pointed out before, the US is done being the world’s policeman. Our navy isn’t defending global shipping lanes anymore and we’re no longer giving the world unrestricted access to our market. With uncertainty about the safety of shipping routes, food supply chains will be extremely vulnerable. Exports are going to crash. While Brazil and other exporters may limp, they’ll survive.
On the other hand, food importers will be at serious risk of societal collapse. They’ll have to get creative to feed their people. Daniel 11:24 prophesies that the Antichrist will distribute plunder and goods to his followers. Apparently, food shortages will play a role. The third seal in Revelation 6:5-6 depicts economic distress. The black horse represents depression and the scales represent rationing. Jesus said there would be famines in the end times and things are definitely heading that direction.
Satanism
The Wuhan virus has given governments a lovely excuse for expanding their surveillance activities. Yet, it’s not just governments. Reuters recently reported, “Stores and workplaces eager to avoid spreading the novel coronavirus are equipping existing security cameras with artificial intelligence software that can track compliance with health guidelines including social distancing and mask-wearing.” Earlier this year, it came out that students at the University of Missouri would be tracked by an app that surveilled their movements. In the same article, it was noted that “law enforcement already has the ability to locate anyone’s cellphone in real time, no warrant necessary.” Just as a reminder, in Revelation 13:15, it says that the image of the beast will be able to speak and it will have the power to kill anyone that doesn’t worship it. That’s right, the image itself will able to kill. Clearly, the building blocks of the Antichrist’s surveillance state are firmly in place.
London = Babylon the Great?
In early May, the United States and the United Kingdom launched official trade talks. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has prioritized signing a trade deal with the United States post-Brexit. President Donald Trump has repeatedly said that he looks forward to a bilateral trade deal with the United Kingdom, likely with tariff-free movement of goods both ways.
In such an arrangement, European companies would flock to the UK to get tariff-free access to the US market. Likewise, US companies would have tariff-free access to the EU by shipping to the UK. Wouldn’t the EU just impose tariffs on the UK? It’s unlikely because the US would completely cut off Europe’s access to its market. This would crush the EU. They need access to the US market. The European business community would lobby heavily against a trade war. Quite the opposite, they would lobby to keep any US-UK arrangement, because it’s easy enough to invest in the UK.
Ultimately, the EU couldn’t do anything to stop a genuine free trade agreement between the UK and the US. Such an agreement would turn the UK into Europe’s biggest economy again. This is significant, because Babylon the Great is the financial center of the world’s economy and a global trading hub.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
