The Great Tribulation is going to be cut short when Jesus returns to deliver His followers. This rescue mission is known as the Rapture. Jesus will simultaneously resurrect Christians who have died and rescue His followers that are still alive. In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus described the Rapture and the events leading up to it. Specifically, right after some freaky celestial disturbances, Jesus will appear in the sky. After this, the Rapture is going to take place. Following the Rapture, the wrath of God will be executed. The sixth seal of Revelation depicts natural disturbances and Jesus appearing in the sky, signaling the Day of the Lord. After the sixth seal, the 144,000 Jewish men are sealed and the Rapture takes place. At the seventh seal, there is silence in Heaven before God’s wrath is poured out. In other words, His judgments are pronounced at the seventh seal. They will be executed during the trumpets and the bowls in Revelation. So, the Rapture takes place between the sixth and seventh seals of Revelation. From there, the trumpet judgments begin, executing the first phase of God’s wrath during the Day of the Lord.
