The Lord will gather nations surrounding Israel and bring them to the Valley of Jehoshaphat just before the Day of the Lord. The Valley of Jehoshaphat is probably the Kidron Valley on the eastern edge of Jerusalem. Well, God is going to bring these nations there for judgment, because they will have scattered the Jewish people and divided up the land of Israel. During the Day of the Lord, Christ will physically return to destroy the armies gathered in the Valley of Jehoshaphat. Jesus will slaughter the armies until He reaches Bozrah, in southern modern-day Jordan, where He will finish the job. Isaiah prophesied that Jesus will come from Bozrah with blood-scattered garments because He will have trampled the winepress of God’s wrath there. This battle will take place in between the sixth and seventh trumpets of Revelation and it’s going to play a key role in the salvation of Israel.
