Ezekiel 38 tells us about the ethnic background of Gog. Contrary to popular belief, Gog is definitely the Antichrist. In Ezekiel 38:17, the Lord said of this Gog, “Are you the one I spoke about in former times through My servants, the prophets of Israel, who for years prophesied in those times that I would bring you against them?” No doubt, God’s prophets were talking about the Antichrist. Likewise, when Gog is defeated, the survivors of Israel will know the Lord forever and God’s name will no longer be profaned. This will only happen after the Battle of Armageddon, described in Ezekiel 39. Some people think Gog and the Antichrist can’t be the same person because Gog is killed and the Antichrist is thrown alive into the Lake of Fire. Yet, this just means the Antichrist will die in battle and then be resurrected and thrown alive into the Lake of Fire.
By the way, Ezekiel 38 doesn’t just tell us about the Antichrist’s ethnicity. The passage also highlights the Antichrist’s successful invasion of Israel during the end times and discusses God’s wrath against him during the Day of the Lord, culminating with the Battle of Armageddon in Ezekiel 39.
