The Daniel 11:22 War
Despite its religious image, the drug trade is booming in the Middle East. In Syria, Hezbollah-aligned militia have been selling hashish and uppers to high-school students, who are turning to drugs to escape the horrors of the war. Substance abuse has become a big problem in Syria. Children as young as 10 are becoming addicted to drugs like Tramadol, a widely available opioid. Many soldiers use opioids for pain or amphetamines to be battle-ready. While drug abuse obviously causes physical problems, there are spiritual consequences too. A 23-year old named Mahmoud, who would cut his arms with a knife when he was high, recalled, “I always heard someone speaking in my head.” That sounds like demonic affliction.
Speaking of demonic, ISIS fighters have been known to use an amphetamine called Captagon. Incidentally, while the powerful stimulant is illegal in most countries, it’s a cheap and popular recreational drug throughout the Middle East. If this story sounds familiar, that’s because Nazi Germany experienced the same thing with methamphetamine. A drug called Pervitin was common in prewar Germany. For all intents and purposes, it was crystal meth. It was given to Nazi soldiers, much like Captagon is given to ISIS fighters. Predictably, the Nazis and ISIS committed unspeakable crimes against humanity. Why is this unsurprising?
Using drugs is like opening a door for demonic spirits to come into your life. It’s impossible to resist demonic attacks when you don’t have control of your faculties. 1 Peter 5:8 commands us to “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” To discern and resist satanic attacks, we must be mentally and spiritually sharp. In the same manner, 1 Peter 4:7 tells us, “The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.” Notice that it mentions the end times? Given the amount of deception, it’s important to be in the right frame of mind. This includes prayer, staying in constant communication with the Lord.
Did you know that the Greek word the Bible uses for sorcery is pharmakeia? There’s a connection between taking drugs and witchcraft and other demonic practices. Despite God’s judgments during the Day of the Lord, those rebellious humans who are still alive will refuse to “repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.” The word for sorceries in that passage is pharmakeia. Clearly, there will be lots of drug use in the end times, closely connected with demonic activity and false worship. Considering the end times begin in Syria, with the Antichrist’s rise to power and the corresponding Daniel 11:22 War, it’s not a surprise drug abuse and demonic affliction are on the rise there.

Sheep/Goat nations
A Coca-Cola ad campaign that featured homosexual couples sparked outrage in Hungary this week. This shouldn’t have come as a surprise. According to Pew Research, only 27% of Hungarians support same-sex marriage. In 2011, Hungary adopted a constitution which established marriage as between one man and one woman. Did someone spike the executive’s cokes?
Unlike much of Europe, Hungary is pro-family, pro-Christian and pro-Israel. For starters, the same constitution which established marriage as between one man and one woman was also pro-life. Likewise, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has proposed several measures to encourage women to have more children. His “family protection action plan” creates an allowance that provides a family housing benefit, a family car purchase program and women that “have given birth to and raised minimum four children will be exempt from the payment of personal income tax for the rest of their lives.” Hungary is taking care of its moms, but they’re not just focusing on the family.
Orbán has been outspoken in defending Europe’s Christian heritage. While meeting with President Trump, Orbán said, “We are proud to stand together with the United States on fighting against illegal migration, on terrorism and to protect and help the Christian communities all around the world.” Trump responded, “You’ve been great with Christian communities.” Hungary is also sticking up for Israel. Despite the European Union’s opposition to diplomatic missions in Jerusalem, Hungary opened a diplomatic trade mission in Jerusalem. Could Hungary be a sheep nation? It’s looking that way.
Satanism
On Monday, President Trump commented on recent shootings in El Paso and Dayton. He remarked, “We must reform our mental health laws to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence and make sure those people not only get treatment, but, when necessary, involuntary confinement.” He added, “Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun.” President Trump is right about guns and he’s right that these individuals are disturbed. That said, the problem isn’t mental. It’s spiritual.
These days, most people believe in evolution. It teaches that the universe is only made up of matter. This means there’s no such thing as a mind or a soul because they’re not tangible, material things. In other words, all our beliefs are the result of chemical reactions and our “thoughts” are determined by the makeup of our brain. No one has a mind of their own, because no one has a mind! How can you have a “mental illness” if the mind doesn’t exist? Basically, psychiatrists think some people have “bad” chemicals or chemical “imbalances” that need to be treated with a mix of “good” chemicals to make their thoughts happier, or something. It’s absurd, but then, so is evolution.
Besides, if this were true, why do anti-depressants constantly fail? Faisal Hussain, who shot several people in Toronto before turning the gun on himself, used anti-depressants. In 2018, David Katz shot up a video game tournament in Jacksonville. He had been “in treatment for psychiatric issues at least as early as the age of 12” and “was prescribed a number of psychiatric medications.” Isaac D. King “was on medication for anxiety and depression” when he used an Arizona state trooper’s gun to kill a police officer. Jeff Weise shot and killed nine people before committing suicide. He was taking the popular anti-depressant Prozac at the time. Stephen Paddock, who killed 58 people in one of the deadliest shootings ever, had anti-anxiety medication in his system at the time of his death. James Holmes, who shot up a movie theater in Colorado, used various anti-depressant and anti-psychotic medications. With all due respect, it seems like these psych meds are making things worse, not better.
Let’s be real: evolution is a joke. For example, evolutionists believe that nothing created matter. This violates the First Law of Thermodynamics, which states matter and energy can’t be created or destroyed. Evolution claims that non-living chemicals created a living organism, but this violates the Law of Biogenesis, which states that life can only come from life. Natural selection supposedly made this organism more complex. Curiously, natural selection does the exact opposite of what evolution requires. Over time, it gets rid of genetic information, because genes which aren’t passed on are eliminated from a population. Evolution is a theory of history which requires blind faith. When it comes to dealing with the allegedly chemical causes of violent, unstable behavior, it has completely failed.
So, what’s really going on here? Look no further than the Dayton shooter. He heard “voices in his head” and had difficulty sleeping because he “was tormented by dark shadows at night.” He also described himself as a Satanist. That’s right, he wasn’t suffering from mental illness; he was suffering from demonic affliction. By the way, he isn’t a special case. Many mass shooters hear demonic voices.
Nikolas Cruz, who killed 17 people at a Florida high school, claimed that a demon in his head told him to “burn, kill and destroy.” The Umpqua Community College shooter was more detailed, saying, “I have been forced to align myself with demonic forces. What was once an involuntary relationship has now become an alignment, a service. I now serve the demonic Heirarchy(sic). When I die will become one of them. A demon. And I will return to kill again and again.” Luke Woodham is another high-profile example. He killed his mom and two classmates, remarking that “I woke up that morning and I’d seen demons…They said I was nothing and I would never be anything if I didn’t get to that school and kill those people.” Woodham testified that he had become friends with a guy named Grant Boyette “after Mr. Boyette cast a spell from a satanic book.” He added that Boyette “had assigned him demons.”
How do we deal with demonic active shooters? Confront them with a firm command in Jesus’ name. Plead the blood of Jesus against them. Immobilize the demonic entity in Jesus’ name. This seems crazy, but it’s biblical. In one instance, Paul immobilized a spirit of sorcery by declaring blindness over Elymas the magician. In another instance, Paul cast a spirit of divination out of a girl who was harassing him. In the authority of Jesus’ name and by the power of the Holy Spirit, Christians can immobilize demonic spirits of lawlessness, violence and suicide which are afflicting many of these mass shooters. How do we stop mass shootings in the first place? Simple: bring back God.
In 1948, the United States Supreme Court decided McCollum v. Board of Education. They ruled that it was illegal for public school facilities to be used by religious groups for instructing schoolchildren, even if the classes were voluntary. Years later, in 1962, the Supreme Court decided Engel v. Vitale. In this ruling, they outlawed public school officials from composing or encouraging prayer in their classrooms. A year later, in Abington School District v. Schempp, the Supreme Court declared that public school teachers could no longer read the Bible to their students.
By 1968, in Epperson v. Arkansas, an Arkansas law that prohibited the teaching of evolution in public schools was struck down. The Supreme Court said that public schools couldn’t teach anything that lined up with the views of a certain religion. In other words, by 1970, prayer was gone, the Bible was gone, and evolution became the official, government-sponsored story of how we got here. The consequences have been devastating.
Noah Webster, the dictionary guy, once said that “Every civil government is based upon some religion or philosophy of life. Education in a nation will propagate the religion of that nation.” He concluded, “Our liberty, growth, and prosperity was the result of a Biblical philosophy of life. Our continued freedom and success is dependent on our educating the youth of America in the principles of Christianity.” Put God back in schools.
London = Babylon the Great?
According to research by The Institute for Fiscal Studies, “The richest 1% in Britain have become increasingly concentrated in London over the past two decades.” Although London is arguably the acid attack capital of the world and it’s dealing with a knife-crime epidemic, it’s a great place for the wealthy. In fact, the Knight Frank Wealth Report concluded in May that London remains the world’s top wealth center. The only serious contender was New York City. One intriguing note from the study was that many wealthy Americans favor “London over its own financial capital, New York, turning the former into the world’s leading wealth center at the expense of the latter.”
Sometimes, this investment is shady. London is renowned for laundering money, allowing international criminals to spend huge amounts of dirty cash. In particular, Russia has benefited. Ever since the Soviet Union fell, London has received lots of Russian money. It doesn’t look like that’s going to change. The Knight Frank Wealth Report added, “Brexit, it would appear, has not diminished London’s appeal abroad, which is where much of its wealth originates.” If anything, London’s financial sector will boom after Brexit.
Economists Liam Halligan and Gerard Lyons have argued that London is in great shape, saying, “The last thing it should be wanting is to burden itself with expensive and constraining EU rules and regulations.” They added, “In contrast to the UK government, the EU does not appear to want to encourage financial services.” Of course, Babylon the Great is an international city known for its extravagant wealth. London definitely fulfills those requirements.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
