The Daniel 11:22 War
Earlier this month, British marines seized an Iranian tanker suspected of carrying oil to Syria. Bringing Iranian oil to Syria violates European Union sanctions. On top of that, President Trump’s strategy of maximum pressure on Iran is working. Economic sanctions on Iran have devastated their economy. In April of this year, the United States announced it wouldn’t grant any more sanctions waivers to existing importers of Iranian oil. The goal is to “bring Iran’s oil exports to zero.” Although Iran’s exports aren’t quite at zero yet, they’re getting there.
On a side note, in March of this year, the U.S. Department of the Treasury stated that it has “the authority to sanction entities or individuals who provide support to the Government of Syria—including those who deliver or finance petroleum shipments to the Government of Syria or government-owned entities.” Put differently, the US strongly discourages shipping oil to Syria. Without Iran’s oil and with most of its energy reserves located under the control of the Kurds or rebel groups, Syria is desperate.
Qatari propaganda outlet Al Jazeera stated the obvious: “With Iran being unable to send oil and money as it used to do, the Syrian regime is left with two options: either to wage war on areas controlled by US-backed Kurdish militias to recover the oil wells in the eastern part of the country, or to ask Russia for help.” The first option isn’t going to happen, which means that in the battle of influence in Syria, Russia has defeated Iran. Syria will turn to Russia for its energy needs, tightening Russia’s grip on Syria. What will the rest of the region do after the war, when the Russians refuse to relinquish control?

Sheep/Goat nations
France is going to take part in the Antichrist’s invasion of Jerusalem in the end times, prophesied in Ezekiel 38. How do we know? Well, there are eight participants in the Ezekiel 38 invasion. Except Persia, these names come from direct descendants of Noah in Genesis 10. In other words, God named the ethnicities that would take part, with one exception, not the specific geographic locations. This is important because some of these people groups have moved since Ezekiel’s day and this prophecy will be fulfilled at the time of the end. What matters is where these people groups are today. Gomer is one of the participants. Gomer was a son of Japheth. According to some of the best research on the matter, his descendants mainly settled in modern France.* Gaul, one of the historic names for France, is a reflection of Gomer’s people having settled there.
Honestly, it’s not difficult to picture France joining the Antichrist in invading Israel. After all, the French Revolution was blatantly antichrist in character. France introduced a state-sponsored atheistic religion, the Cult of Reason, which turned churches into so-called Temples of Reason. This national religion was soon replaced by a state-sponsored deistic religion, the Cult of the Supreme Being. Likewise, France replaced the Christian calendar with a calendar that set the date of the Revolution as year one. Several priests were murdered, crosses were destroyed and Christianity was outlawed. Amazingly, France’s national holiday, Bastille Day, commemorates the start of the Revolution. Is it any wonder that anti-Christian attacks have quadrupled between 2008 and 2019? The more things change, the more they stay the same.
In addition to growing anti-Christian sentiment, antisemitism has increased in France in recent years. In fact, it has led many French Jews to flee to Israel. It’s somewhat fitting that French Jews are leaving Israel, considering French antisemitism played a role in the founding of the State of Israel. Theodor Herzl, considered the father of political Zionism, was first moved to advocate for a Jewish state because of the Dreyfus affair. Alfred Dreyfus, a captain in the French army, was falsely accused and convicted of treason. His Jewish ancestry played a big role in his false conviction. Although French immigration to Israel was down in 2018, over 2,000 French Jews still relocated to Israel. On the other hand, immigration from Russia and the former Soviet Union spiked in 2018. Considering that Putin has repeatedly promised to defend ethnic Russians abroad, could Israel’s growing Russian population be used as a pretext to invade Israel one day?

Satanism
Elon Musk wants to merge you with Artificial Intelligence, for your own good. Creepy right? Neuralink, a neurotechnology company founded by Musk, announced a scalable implant that connects human brains with computers. Musk claimed that long term, this neural chip implant could help us “achieve a sort of symbiosis with artificial intelligence.” Musk has frequently warned about AI, saying in the past, “With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon.” What an interesting choice of words.
In April, Wired asked “Will Artificial Intelligence Enhance or Hack Humanity?” In response, Israeli historian Yuval Noah Harari said that once you link to AI, “what you get is the ability to hack humans.” He explained that hacking, in this context, refers to creating “an algorithm that understands me better than I understand myself, and can therefore manipulate me, enhance me, or replace me.” Let’s be real. The concept of hacking humanity isn’t all that different from demonic possession. In fact, demons don’t just possess humans. They can possess animals and apparently even some inanimate objects, such as idols. Why wouldn’t they be able to possess artificial intelligence? Or, in today’s modern technological terms, why wouldn’t demons be able to hack AI?
In November of 2017, the US Department of Defense requested help to develop “automatic target recognition of personnel and vehicles from an unmanned aerial system using learning algorithms.” Translation? The DOD was looking to create drones that are “capable of deciding for themselves and without human supervision.” No word on if they succeeded or not, but there’s no doubt: AI could enable drones to kill on their own. What if a demon “hacked” the algorithm? In Revelation 13:15, it says that the image of the beast will be able to speak and it will have the power to kill anyone that doesn’t worship it. That’s right, the image itself will able to kill. Does that sound like some sort of demonic-AI hybrid? It’s certainly a possibility.
London = Babylon the Great?
It looks like Boris Johnson, probably the next British Prime Minister, is ready to Brexit. This week, he appointed Brexiteer Daniel Moylan as his senior Brexit policy adviser. Johnson also discussed meeting with President Donald Trump to sign a trade deal with the United States post-Brexit. For his part, President Trump has repeatedly said that he looks forward to a bilateral trade deal with the UK. Of course, the US won’t be the only country looking to sign a deal with the UK. The countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have historically had close ties with the UK. With the UK looking to expand its trade beyond Europe post-Brexit, their relationship with the Gulf states is only going to get stronger.
Already, with the support of Boris Johnson, the UK has sold arms to Saudi Arabia. Despite a court ruling in June suspending such sales, the UK is reviewing its arms export licensing process so they can begin again. Discussing the matter, Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer said, “The commitment of the UK to the security of Saudi Arabia and the stability of the region remains unchanged.” Could investment opportunities explain why the UK is escalating its military presence in the Persian Gulf? Well, on Friday, Iran seized a British oil tanker in the Gulf, undoubtedly in response to British marines seizing an Iranian tanker earlier this month. Before Iran seized this tanker, the UK announced that it was sending a third warship to the Gulf. At the very least, this ongoing spat means the UK probably won’t join Germany, France and Russia in a payments channel designed to bypass US sanctions on Iran. In related news, the British have promised to increase their troop presence in Syria. For better or for worse, the UK is going to protect its economic interests in the Middle East. It could get messy.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
