The Daniel 11:22 War
Earlier this month, the Russians announced their intention “to create a free trade area involving Israel and Egypt.” This makes sense, because later this year, Israel will start exporting natural gas to Egypt. Israeli company Delek Drilling and American partner Noble Energy have received approval from Israel’s anti-trust regulator to export natural gas from Israel’s Tamar and Leviathan offshore fields. The Egyptians are looking to become a “key international trading and distribution” center for natural gas. In addition, the United States publicly supports the EastMed pipeline from Israel, through Cyprus to Greece. The eastern Mediterranean natural gas boom is going to turn countries like Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Egypt into significant players in the energy market. Naturally, by delivering more natural gas to Europe, Russia won’t be able to wield as much influence. This may explain why Egypt, Israel and Russia have problems with each other in the end times.
Indeed, Ezekiel 38 prophesies that one of the reasons the Antichrist invades Israel is “to capture spoil and to seize plunder.” Israel’s economy is going to boom in the end times and this is one of the motivations for the Antichrist’s invasion. Likewise, Egypt is the Antichrist’s biggest threat in the Middle East. Daniel 11:25-26 prophesies that the Antichrist will attack Egypt and win. Daniel 11:27 suggests they talk about invading Israel, but nothing comes of it. They will make a truce of sorts, but it won’t last. After the Antichrist’s successful invasion of Israel, Egypt will start some trouble, according to Daniel 11:40. On his way to do battle, Daniel 11:41 says the Antichrist conquers most of the Middle East and North Africa. Daniel 11:42-43 says that he’ll specifically conquer Egypt. In light of this, it’s important to keep an eye on the eastern Mediterranean natural gas boom and Russia’s attempts to get a piece of the action.

Sheep/Goat nations
Over the past several days, Lebanon has been experiencing huge protests throughout the country. The nationwide demonstrations are focused on the corruption of the political class. Well, like The Associated Press reported, “Iranian-backed Hezbollah dominates the current Cabinet through its party and its allies.” That’s right, Lebanon is protesting Iranian influence, just like Iraq. It’s so obvious that even the globalists over at Foreign Policy noticed, writing, “Iran Is Losing the Middle East, Protests in Lebanon and Iraq Show.” Needless to say, this is a positive development. That said, what does the future hold for Lebanon? Unlike other countries in the Middle East, it’s tough to say.
For starters, modern Lebanon is most commonly associated with the ancient port cities of Tyre and Sidon, which didn’t exactly have the best reputation. Through Ezekiel, God spoke at length about the destruction of Tyre and Sidon. A wave of conquerors would come against Tyre, starting with Nebuchadnezzar. These conquerors would plunder the city and eventually destroy it. It has since been rebuilt, which is notable because in Ezekiel 26:21, God said, “I will bring terrors on you and you will be no more; though you will be sought, you will never be found again.” It’s true that Tyre was never rebuilt by Phoenicians and it never achieved its former glory. In that sense, Ezekiel 26:21 has already been fulfilled. Yet, does Tyre’s existence today mean that God could destroy Lebanon during the Day of the Lord? It’s a possibility for two reasons.
First, the conclusion of the prophesy against Tyre and Sidon talks about Israel dwelling securely in the Kingdom. So, this prophecy will be completely fulfilled during the end times. Second, Tyre and Sidon are specifically mentioned in Joel 3, a passage about the Battle of Jehoshaphat. The Lord will gather nations surrounding Israel and bring them to the Valley of Jehoshaphat just before the Day of the Lord. The Valley of Jehoshaphat is probably the Kidron Valley on the eastern edge of Jerusalem. During the Day of the Lord, Christ will physically return to destroy the armies gathered there. Is Lebanon involved? It might be, because Zechariah 10:10 says that God will lead the Jewish people “into the land of Gilead and Lebanon until no room can be found for them.” Verse 12 adds that when this happens, the Jewish people will walk in the name of the Lord. Obviously, there aren’t a lot of Jews in Lebanon and most Jews around the world don’t follow Jesus.
Regardless, it’s difficult to be certain about Lebanon’s prophetic destiny. Hopefully, given its substantial Christian population, Lebanon becomes a refuge for the region’s Christians. Time will tell.

Satanism
Halloween and Día de Muertos, popular holidays connected to ancient paganism, are right around the corner. With that in mind, it seemed like a good time to point out the growing popularity of traditional demonic practices. For example, just this month, Venezuelans honored an indigenous goddess called María Lionza. This annual gathering “draws on Catholicism, African-Caribbean religion Santería and indigenous rituals.” Simply put, it’s demonic. In fact, the demonic practice of Santería is more popular in the Americas than most people realize. Earlier this year, it was reported that Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro has “spent thousands of dollars of state funds on Santería rituals carried out in Cuba.” It’s not just Latin America, either.
There’s been a growing trend among American leftists of publicly engaging in occult activity. First, there was a group of witches who cast a spell against President Trump. It didn’t work out, but that didn’t stop a coven of New York witches from putting a hex on US Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Even Marie Claire, allegedly a women’s fashion magazine, published an article titled “This Is How Real-Life Resistance Witches Say They’re Taking Down the Patriarchy”. So-called Progressives have openly embraced occultism as their preferred religion. Whether they know it or not, they sense that the war we’re in isn’t political or even cultural. It’s spiritual. Perhaps that’s why in Europe it’s secular right-wingers who are turning to paganism and occultism. Of course, in Europe, paganism is growing among people of all political persuasions. Is it any wonder that the world will worship Satan in the end times?
London = Babylon the Great?
Recently, Christian restaurant Chick-fil-A opened a pilot restaurant in England. Testing out the new market didn’t go well. Despite its delicious sandwiches and incredible customer service, Britain’s LGBT community successfully lobbied the restaurant’s landlord to not renew their lease. This latest act of bigotry is consistent with rising Christian persecution in the United Kingdom. For example, a few months back, the Metropolitan Police arrested a street preacher in London, “handcuffing him and confiscating his Bible.” The preacher, Oluwole Ilesanmi, told one of the arresting officers, “I will not go away because I need to tell them the truth. Jesus is the only way, truth and life.” The policeman replied, “Nobody wants to listen to that.” Welcome to London. The UK is an increasingly secular country with a growing Muslim population, yet it still has an apostate state-run church. That certainly fits the requirement of spiritual prostitution according to the Bible, something which Babylon the Great is guilty of.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
