The Daniel 11:22 War
Hong Kong isn’t the only place with anti-government protests these days. In neighboring Russia, the government has been cracking down on protests in Moscow. They started a little while back when opposition politicians were declared ineligible to contest local elections. Of course, Russia’s stagnant economy and a controversial law which raised the retirement age for men and women probably contributed to the unrest. Unlike in Hong Kong, however, the Moscow protests seem to be dying down. Yet, it’s interesting that Russia and China are dealing with domestic turmoil, given their growing rivalry on the international stage.
Although they are often portrayed as allies, Russia and China are competing for resources and influence throughout the globe. China is making significant inroads in Central Asia, Russia’s old Soviet stomping grounds. In July, The Wall Street Journal reported, “Russia, China Vie for Influence in Central Asia as U.S. Plans Afghan Exit.” With the US militarily withdrawing from Afghanistan soon, Central Asia is up for grabs.
It’s not just Central Asia. Russia and China are also competing in Africa. While Russia has deployed its military to the Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo, China has a military base in Djibouti and has infrastructure projects all over the continent. According to United States National Security Advisor John Bolton, Russia’s interests in Africa are clear: they sell “arms and energy in exchange for votes at the United Nations” and “extract natural resources from the region for its own benefit.” Regarding China, Bolton pointed out that the Chinese use “bribes, opaque agreements, and the strategic use of debt to hold states in Africa captive to Beijing’s wishes and demands.” For its part, the US is mostly interested in mutually beneficial trade with African nations. Don’t expect heavy American involvement in Africa, because the Americans are no longer interested in bribing corrupt African leaders. Consequently, just like in Central Asia, China and Russia are going to collide. Who will win?
President Trump is going to destroy the Chinese Communist Party by decoupling America’s economy from China’s economy. Through tariffs and certain trade deals, President Trump will force American companies to manufacture in the US by making it extremely expensive to export their products to the American market. Since the US is the world’s biggest consumer market, these companies will shift most or all their production to the US to avoid costly tariffs. Likewise, President Trump will remove the US from the Middle East, including Syria and Afghanistan. The US will probably maintain a small deployment in Iraq to keep an eye on the region, but nothing more. With China’s economy in shambles and the Chinese Communist Party dealing with serious domestic unrest, Russia will become the most influential foreign power in the Middle East and Africa. It will lead to several wars, including the Antichrist’s violent conquest of the Middle East and many African nations north of the Congo River. Most importantly, it will set the stage for the Daniel 11:22 War.
Sheep/Goat nations
Guatemala appears to be a sheep nation. It has lots of committed Christians and it has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and moved its Israeli embassy. This week, Guatemalans experienced one of the benefits of honoring the Lord. Sandra Torres is basically the Hillary Clinton of Guatemala. She’s a former first lady, she’s corrupt and she’s run for president multiple times and lost. Well, this week, she was finally arrested. The Guatemalan swamp is being drained!
In some respects, Guatemala’s decision to move its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem was to seek investment from Israel and the United States. Honduras had a similar motivation. Its recent decision to open a trade office in Jerusalem and recognize Jerusalem as the capital was driven by the prospect of “more investment and more opportunities for the Honduran people.” For the record, shortly after the US announced it would move its Israeli embassy, Honduras joined its neighbor Guatemala in supporting the move in a United Nations vote. The Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Togo and Nauru also voted to support the American decision. Three of these countries, Palau, the Marshall Islands and Micronesia, have signed Compacts of Free Association with the US. These agreements give the US exclusive military access to their territory in exchange for American investment and military protection.
On the other hand, Nauru is pretty much a client state of Australia. Considering Australia has opened a trade office in Jerusalem, it’s not surprising that Nauru recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel a few days ago. Australia has recently shown a willingness to invest in the Pacific, including cybersecurity deals with Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and East Timor. Australia is even planning on creating a new military unit to train and help its Pacific allies. Australia has teamed up with the US and Japan to mine and process highly valuable rare earth elements. The trio has also joined forces to finance a liquefied natural gas project in Papua New Guinea. This cooperation could explain why President Trump has invited Prime Minister Scott Morrison for a state dinner at the White House.
There is an emerging sheep-nation coalition, mostly made up of countries from the Americas and Oceania. United by a Christian heritage and a respect for the Jewish ownership of Jerusalem, economic and military cooperation between these nations is only going to expand.

Satanism
The Notting Hill Carnival in London is described as the United Kingdom’s “biggest celebration of culture, diversity and inclusivity.” Apparently, this celebration of inclusivity includes demonic activity. A woman who was attending the event had part of her top lip bitten off by a man who told her, “I’m the devil.” He then leaned in and bit her lip. This sort of demonic attack isn’t surprising, because Carnival and Mardi Gras events are ideal atmospheres for demons to operate in. After all, the very word Carnival implies carnality, which means the event is all about celebrating the flesh. In Brazil, home to the world’s biggest Carnival, urinating in the street, nudity, drinking, crime and sexual immorality are common. It’s disgusting. As it turns out, the 2019 Notting Hill Carnival sounded similar. Over 350 people were arrested in just two days. Again, going to Carnival or Mardi Gras is like opening a door for demons to enter your life. It’s best not to take part in these so-called celebrations.

London = Babylon the Great?
Perhaps unknowingly, former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott prophesied a successful Brexit earlier this week. He argued that those who want Britain to remain in the European Union, “will fail” because “in the end there won’t be enough of them to usurp a democratic vote, to sacrifice their country for short term political gain and to put Europe before Britain.” He then quoted the Bible, saying, “As the scripture says, he who puts his hand to the plough and then turns back is not worthy of the kingdom.” This is not Abbott’s first comment on Brexit and the future of the United Kingdom.
Back in 2017, he remarked, “The country that gave the world the English language, common law and the mother of parliaments is once more to seize its destiny as a global leader.” Put differently, by leaving the EU, the UK will reestablish itself as a global power. One way to do that would be through trade. Abbott is in favor of the UK signing a free trade agreement with Australia, with movement of goods “absolutely free of tariffs or quotas.” Current Primer Minister Scott Morrison agrees. Of course, the US plans to make a massive bilateral trade deal with the UK and this deal would undoubtedly involve tariff-free trade both ways.
Post-Brexit, the UK will benefit from its relationships with two of the world’s biggest economies: Australia and the US. Revelation 18:11-20 describes Babylon the Great as the world’s trading hub. Free trade agreements with these countries will restructure global trade in a way that favors the UK.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
