In late March, the Negev Summit took place in southern Israel. According to The American Spectator:
“On March 28, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and the foreign ministers of Israel, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Morocco convened in southern Israel for the Negev Summit. This is a key development in the Abraham Accords, which began under the Trump administration with the signing of the accords by Israel, the U.A.E., and Bahrain on September 15, 2020, and continued with Israel and Morocco signing a normalization agreement shortly afterward.”
The burgeoning Arab-Israeli alliance is all about preventing foreign meddling, such as Persian, Turkish and ultimately Russian influence, in the Middle East and North Africa. This alliance will feature prominently in the Daniel 11:22 War, the event that launches the end times:
Daniel 11:21 says the Antichrist is an outsider who intervenes in Syria and becomes the country’s ruler, or at least the power behind the throne. Israel and many other nations will not approve. Daniel 11:22 describes a massive military force from many nations that will come against this foreign usurper in Syria. This is known as the Daniel 11:22 War and it will be a big victory for the Antichrist. The military force will include Israel, because a “prince of the covenant” is going to be swept away. That’s probably a reference to an Israeli ruler or general. The other nations will likely be from the Middle East and North Africa. Most nations in the world today that haven’t recognized Israel are in the Middle East and North Africa. Well, when the Antichrist defeats Israel and these other nations, Daniel 11:23 states that they will make a deal with him. Daniel 9:27 says that an important part of that deal is the international recognition of Israel as a state.
In summary:
Daniel 11:21 says the Antichrist is going to rise to power in Syria. According to Daniel 11:22, Israel and many nations from the Middle East and North Africa will attack him. They will lose. Daniel 11:23 says they will sign a deal with the Antichrist. This is the seven-year covenant, mentioned in Daniel 9:27, that officially begins the end times and the countdown to the return of Jesus and the Day of the Lord.
One key development of the Negev Summit is a potential regional air defense pact. The Times of Israel reported: “Israel and its regional allies are working on developing a joint defense system to protect against the threat of Iranian drones and missiles.” Although this military collaboration is defensive in nature, in time, it could become more offensive. If so, we could be seeing the early stages of the Arab-Israeli force that takes part in the Daniel 11:22 War.
