Reality goes beyond what you can see and feel. Reality is who you agree with. Just look at Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. When they agreed with God, everything was perfect. There was no sickness, suffering or death. When they decided to agree with Satan, sickness, suffering and death entered the world. By definition, sin is disagreeing with God. When we sin, we rebel against what God says is right, good and true.
Faith is trust in God. It is the opposite of sin, which is distrusting what God says or what He has done. This is not necessarily emotional, but often it’s intellectual disagreement with God based upon the five senses. We think we have all the facts, but that’s not the case. We’re operating with incomplete knowledge.
What is science?
Ask yourself this: What is science? There are two kinds of science. Experimental science involves doing experiments in the present and drawing conclusions. Historical science involves piecing together what happened in the past. Since history doesn’t repeat itself, explanations about the past require assumptions.
Thermodynamics = there’s an eternal, all-powerful Creator
Well, the First Law of Thermodynamics establishes that energy can’t be created or destroyed. We’ve been told that, in the beginning, the universe supposedly created itself. How does something that doesn’t exist create itself? Also, no one saw this happen and it can’t be recreated in a lab, so people accept this happened by blind faith.
Others think the universe has always existed, but the Second Law of Thermodynamics states that usable energy in the universe is decreasing. Since new energy can’t be created, there will come a time when life as we know it will cease to exist. Of course, if the universe has always existed, it would’ve run out of usable energy a long time ago. Besides, considering the universe is losing usable energy and it can’t be replaced, where did all of the usable energy come from in the first place? There has to be an eternal, all-powerful Creator.
Chance is another word for blind faith
Incidentally, everything that has a beginning has a cause. What allegedly caused nothing to create matter in spite of scientific law? Often, the answer is chance, but chance doesn’t cause things to happen. Likewise, luck isn’t a very scientific explanation for the universe’s existence. It’s blind faith.
Conclusion – we’re not God
Satan, the “god” of this world, blinds the minds of those who refuse to believe. Like he did with Adam and Eve, he deludes people into thinking they can be God. People are willing to do anything to maintain the illusion that they’re God. Remember, reality is who you agree with: God or Satan. Jesus will return to establish the reality of heaven, the Kingdom, on earth. Until then, we pray that God’s will be done on earth as it already is done in heaven.
