The Daniel 11:22 War
Libya has had a rough decade and things aren’t exactly looking up. In April, Reuters reported, “Libya’s eastern-based military leader Khalifa Haftar said on Monday his Libyan National Army (LNA) was accepting a “popular mandate” to rule the country.” Russian-backed private military contractors are allegedly supporting Khalifa Haftar, the strongman looking to overthrow the current regime. Meanwhile, Turkey supports the internationally-recognized Government of National Accord. Reportedly, Turkey and Russia have been trying to reach a compromise in Libya, as well as in Syria.
Whoever ultimately gains control, eventually Libya and much of Northwest Africa will join the Antichrist in invading Israel during the end times. Needless to say, trusting the Antichrist is a pretty stupid move. After successfully invading Israel, the Antichrist will begin conquering other countries. Libya will be one of those countries. Of course, the Antichrist is the leader of Russia in the end times. He’s going to conquer Egypt, Ethiopia and Libya, among other countries. Clearly, at some point, Russia will become the most influential foreign power in the Middle East and Africa. That rise to the top will begin with the Antichrist’s victory in the Daniel 11:22 War.
Sheep/Goat nations
During the Wuhan virus panic, President Trump pledged to send ventilators to Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras and Indonesia. While people focused on the ventilators, the real story was which countries the United States chose to help.
Contrary to popular belief, the Antichrist will only have political control over one quarter of the world’s population. Obviously, he’s the ruler of Russia. In addition, the Bible prophesies that he conquers much of the Middle East, North Africa and parts of East Africa. Finally, he controls a ten-nation coalition coming out of Western Europe. When he invades Jerusalem, he draws support from Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa. These are the general areas of his control.
In the end times, there are three groups of nations: sheep nations, goat nations and nations which are initially loyal to Babylon the Great. The most important characteristic to look for is their treatment of Israel. For example, God is going to judge the nations for having divided up His land, the land of Israel. Nations which honor God’s promise of the land of Israel to the Jews, specifically Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem, are more likely to be sheep nations. In addition, countries with lots of committed Christians, a growing Christian population or significant numbers of Charismatic Christians are probably sheep nations. Finally, sheep nations will tend to have favorable views towards Americans, because the United States is the leader of the sheep-nation group in the end times.
Putting it all together, with their Christian heritage, respect for Israel and geographic isolation from the Antichrist’s zone of influence, the Americas and Oceania are the regions that will have the most sheep nations. Mountainous and isolated nations of mainland Southeast Asia, as well as island nations like Indonesia and the Philippines, would seem likely to fall under the protection of the US, Australia and Japan, the regional powers in the Americas, Oceania and Southeast Asia respectively. The trio have partnered to mine and process highly valuable rare earth elements and have joined forces to finance liquefied natural gas projects in the Pacific. We’ll see what happens, but the end times order won’t be a complete disaster for the Americas and the Pacific.
Satanism
A little while back, Bishop Matthew Kukah of Sokoto, a Nigerian, said at a conference that witchcraft continues to matter to a lot of Africans. In 2010, in a study on Islam and Christianity in Sub-Saharan Africa, Pew Research pointed out, “many of those who indicate they are deeply committed to the practice of Christianity or Islam also incorporate elements of African traditional religions into their daily lives.” For instance, “Sizable percentages of both Christians and Muslims – a quarter or more in many countries – say they believe in the protective power of juju (charms or amulets).” Many African Christians don’t have a biblical worldview. Syncretism, the practice of mixing traditional religions with certain Christian practices, remains common. Yet, this religious syncretism is often exacerbated by tribal differences.
For example, despite winning the Nobel peace prize for making peace with Eritrea, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has been dealing with violent protests on the home front. Reuters observed that “Abiy must walk a delicate line between increasing political freedoms and reigning in strongmen building ethnic powerbases.” Tribalism and religious syncretism have even given rise to dangerous cults, such as Bundu dia Kongo. Their leader, Ne Muanda Nsemi, is allegedly a prophet who “wants to revive the ancient Kongo kingdom.” He was arrested in April for “rebellion, security offences and inciting ethnic hatred.” Even so, he still has a committed following.
Regarding the end times, Jesus warned, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many.” He added, “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” Be wary of self-styled religious gurus. Stay alert, remain focused, bind and loose when appropriate, test everything and hold fast to the Word of God.

London = Babylon the Great?
Jesus said there would be famines during the end times. The third seal of Revelation depicts economic distress. The black horse represents depression and the scales represent rationing. In other words, food supply chains are going to be vulnerable and important to protect during the end times. Countries with food independence will be in much better shape. With this in mind, Tory MP John Redwood’s recent comments on the United Kingdom’s agriculture industry were interesting. He said, “Farming was an area that had been selectively damaged by ill-judged European policies.” According to the Daily Express, he explained that the UK would be able to grow and consume more of its own food. The British wouldn’t need to rely on imports, certainly not from Europe. This is only one of the areas in which the UK has leverage over Europe.
In addition to food security, access to energy is going to be critical in the end times. Well, the UK is one of the best places in the world for wind power, a renewable energy source. Europe isn’t particularly built for wind or solar. To make matters worse, much of Europe relies on imports of oil and natural gas. While the UK would need still need to import oil and natural gas, they have good relationships with a large network of exporters. The United States is one of the biggest exporters of natural gas and oil, while Australia is also a massive exporter of natural gas. Of course, unlike much of the rest of Europe, the British have the navy to protect their access to resources, including energy, in most parts of the world. All told, the UK is sitting pretty while continental Europe is vulnerable.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for reading and Godspeed!
