The Daniel 11:22 War
In the middle of a hard-fought reelection campaign, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to “apply sovereignty over all settlements in Judea and Samaria, starting with the Jordan Valley.” Netanyahu’s main opponents, Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid, have also stated their intention to recognize the Jordan Valley. It looks like Israel is going to take the Jordan Valley no matter what happens in the upcoming election. Despite whining from the usual suspects, realistically no one is going to stop them. Israel has been emboldened by the recognition of Jerusalem by multiple countries, the American takedown of Iran and improved ties with their Arab neighbors. Unfortunately, their military and diplomatic successes will get them in trouble. Eventually, they will take part in a failed invasion of Syria. In defeat, the Israelis will sign a peace agreement with the Antichrist which includes international recognition of their statehood but will require them to divide their land. This covenant begins the end times, which, according to Daniel 12:7, must take place to shatter the Jew’s stubborn reliance on themselves instead of the Lord.
Sheep/Goat nations
In last week’s prophetic roundup, under the “Daniel 11:22 War” category, the emerging rivalry between China and Russia was discussed. Russia is going to win because President Trump’s ultimate goal is to destroy the Chinese Communist Party by decoupling the US economy from the Chinese economy. Don’t be surprised if Russia helps. Just a few days ago, Russia and India agreed to establish an Indo-Pacific shipping route which would go through the South China Sea. Earlier this year, a joint Vietnamese-Russian operation began crude oil production in the South China Sea. In other words, the Russian bear is poking the Chinese panda. Reading between the lines, the Americans have encouraged the Russians to do this.
Consider that Russia and Ukraine recently swapped prisoners, with President Trump tweeting, “Russia and Ukraine just swapped large numbers of prisoners. Very good news, perhaps a first giant step to peace. Congratulations to both countries!” For the US, China and Iran are the biggest threats. Russia can help with both of those situations. In exchange for cooperation with China, Iran and other security issues, the US will help Russia with the Ukraine situation and in the Middle East. After all, just last month the White House said it was reviewing if $250 million in military aid should be sent to Ukraine. Republican Senator Ron Johnson spoke with President Trump about it. Trump explained that European countries should be giving money to Ukraine, not the US, because Ukraine is in their “backyard.” Ukraine isn’t in America’s national interest and neither is Syria. Indeed, Trump’s economic sanctions, which are designed to neutralize Iran’s regime, are allowing Russia to consolidate its power in Syria.
When the dust settles, and China and Iran are no longer threats, expect the Russians to leave the Americas. The US will insist on the Monroe Doctrine being honored. In last week’s prophetic roundup, under the “Sheep/Goat nations” category, it was demonstrated that the US is leading an ever-growing sheep-nation alliance which is made up of countries from the Americas and Oceania. In 2018, Columbia became the first Latin American country to join NATO. It won’t be the last. President Trump has suggested that Brazil join NATO and Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed it makes sense “to look into the possibility of having also other countries in Latin America become partners.” NATO is going to shift from the North Atlantic to the Americas and the Pacific, especially considering that the European Union is planning on creating its own army. With the US militarily withdrawing from the Middle East and Central Asia, Eurasia will fall under Russian influence. How much of this coming geopolitical realignment has been agreed upon in advance? It’s tough to say, but I’m sure the Democrats will scream “Russian collusion” regardless.
Contrary to popular belief, Revelation 6:8 makes it clear that the Antichrist will only have political control over one quarter of the world’s population. Most of the world’s population lives in South Asia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Over one-third of the world’s population lives in China and India alone. It’s difficult to see the Antichrist confronting nuclear powers, plus Revelation 16:12-16 prophesies that many countries to the east of Israel will be independent during the Day of the Lord. They unwisely choose to invade Israel at the Battle of Armageddon.
Evidently, the Antichrist won’t control these areas. He won’t control the Americas or Oceania either. This leaves Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the same places he draws support from when he invades Jerusalem. Obviously, he’s the ruler of Russia. In addition, the Bible prophesies that the Antichrist conquers much of the Middle East, North Africa and parts of East Africa. Finally, he controls a ten-nation coalition coming out of Western Europe. Putting it all together, the Antichrist’s empire will be composed of countries from Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Satanism
This week, court documents revealed that a Canadian man who stabbed his mother to death was suffering from “acute cannabis-induced psychosis.” After smoking marijuana, the man started “screaming in a manner similar to experiencing night terrors, exhibiting signs of erratic and anxious behavior, making other animalistic noises and talking nonsensically.” His sister gave him cannabis oil to calm down, but it had the opposite effect. When police arrived, he was naked from the waist down and had blood all over. He was laughing hysterically. That’s not normal human behavior. Well, the Greek word that the Bible uses for sorcery is pharmakeia. There’s a connection between taking drugs and the worship of demons. Recreational drug use opens a door for demonic spirits to enter your life. It’s not pretty. This man’s use of marijuana allowed a spirit of murder to enter him and this cannabis-induced demonic affliction led him to murder his own mom. With marijuana being legalized in several places and its potency increasing, don’t be surprised if incidents like this become more common.

London = Babylon the Great?
In 2018, the United Kingdom opened its first permanent military base in the Middle East since the 1970s, strategically located in Bahrain. Monitoring the Persian Gulf, an important international shipping route, hasn’t been easy. Back in July, Iran seized a British oil tanker in the Persian Gulf, shortly after British marines seized an Iranian tanker near Gibraltar. The British have at least three warships in the Gulf to protect their interests. Yet, earlier in the week, Britain’s foreign minister publicly accused Iran of selling oil to Syria. Gibraltar released the Iranian tanker they seized in August, “after receiving formal written assurances from Tehran that the ship would not discharge its 2.1 million barrels of oil in Syria.” Apparently, the Iranians didn’t keep their word.
With all due respect, trusting Iran wasn’t a smart move. That said, for the British, this is just a bump in the road. In 2016, Boris Johnson, now the prime minister, gave a speech titled, “Britain is back East of Suez.” He proudly stated, “We are renewing military ties with old friends: Britain’s Gulf Defence Staff is being located in Dubai. The Al-Minhad air base in the UAE provides a hub for the RAF. In Oman, the British Army is establishing a Regional Land Training centre.” He added, “it is absolutely right that we should so share and cooperate because our interests and our problems are shared.” Johnson views the Middle East as strategically important and it’s clear the British plan on playing a larger role in policing the region. For better or for worse, they’re back in the Middle East.
